TECHNICAL EXPERTS AND USERS
First-hand expertise and experience are decisive for the development of new solutions. Only someone who knows what he or she is talking about can evaluate which ideas might actually solve the problem in question. In general, 4 to 6 experts are accompanied by a few people with very little knowledge in the area, and who are willing to ask ‘stupid questions’. Interdisciplinarity helps!
MULTIPLIERS AND ALL-ROUNDERS
The more diverse and interdisciplinary members of a team, the more expansive their ideas will be. Depending on the business culture, multipliers from the company can be consulted – innovation managers or patent lawyers, for example. External experts are also welcome. It can be an enormous advantage to occasionally involve important clients, but this tactic is to be treated with caution.
